Anyway, looking back at all the old-old pictures, I noticed that I’ve been quite a tool back then.

I guess now that I’ve realised it, I’ve stepped out of the toolness (i hope) and try to stay away from being one.

Well, the internets, you have spoiled me. I am now confused on my true personality.

I don’t know whether should I adapt my internet persona into real life, or find the true me.

I hope I don’t have to stand under a waterfall for 5 hours to find the true me. SIT WITH CROSSED LEGS AND READ OM OM OM FOR 5 HOURS is most certainly not on my “DO WANT” list.

The holidays are coming soon FAST. It feels like yesterday was 2nd day of Ramadhan. How time flies so fast.

And I kid you not, I’ve lessened my time on games. But instead I’ve gone more into surfing. Holy crap I’m not a teenager anymore HALP.

Anyway it’s 4am and I’ve just ate cereal for sahur.

So many things needs to be done.

I prioritize task number 1 of course.

Assignments are starting to be a killer. Oh me oh me oh my. Engineering Programming 104, Software Technology 152 (a.k.a Java), Introduction to Operating System 101 (a.k.a WHAT??) and finally Engineering Management 302 which I have not the slightest clue what I am supposed to do.

15 days into Ramadhan, I still see the belly of awesomeness. Apparently it’s stuck with me foreverandever.

I has an amazing happy story to share. (and interesting too)

For the first time in my kambing life, I’ve joined the World Cyber Games in Malaysia. The last time I tried to join, I got rejected because of underage eventhough I signed a parental consent form.

Anyway.

The World Cyber Games 2010 was held at Midvalley from 16 July to 18 July. I departed from Miri on 15th (but originally supposed to fly on 16th, thanks to my buddy mootchan, I found out it starts on Friday. *rage rage*) and arrived at KL laaaaaate at night.

Sigh. Penat.

Oh before I start about KL, I’ve been practicing my ass off on Guitar Hero 5 every single day for 2 weeks straight until the day I hurt my neck because I slept in an awkward position.

Gaddemu. Had to walk around with my head tilted to the right for 2 days. And if I attempted to straighten my head, I’d squeal for no certain reason whatsoever. Heck, I even laughed like a psycho with manly tears shed for no apparent reason when I hurted myself by straightening my head. NO FUNNY.

Anyway. Arrived 2 Minutes To Midnight at my aunt’s house in Gombak. Phew.

NEXT DAY!

Went to MidValley so damn early. In the e-mail (well, I didn’t get one) it is stated that registration starts at 9am or 10am. I can’t remember.

But the gates were still closed. What is this I don’t even.

But the gates eventually opened 30 minutes later (Malaysian time).

Registered myself, saw on the list there were 10 people registered for Guitar Hero 5. Woah. *gulp*

Was wandering around, and saw the PCs that will be used for FIFA, Warcraft III, Starcraft, etc. etc. etc.

At the end of the hall, there’s the tournament bracket.

Well finally. Let’s see a bit closer who are my opponents shall we?

Takut lol. Because he represented Malaysia during the WCG Asian Championship. Respect yo!

Here’s the thing. Out of the registered 10 players, from my understanding, only 3 came, and one made a last minute registration. To be honest, I was quite disappointed at the outcome of GH5.

So the contestants of GH5 was me, Jinn, Chapree and Slayzaerath (betul ker ni? lol)

We started playing against eachother in a form of group stages.

On the other side of the area, there’s the Tekken 6 tourney going on as well.

At the arena, it was the opening ceremony of WCG. Officiated by YB Ahmad Shaberry Cheek.

Quite awesome to see him strum the guitar then suddenly Sweet Child of Mine is played out of nowhere.

On the first day itself I managed to plunder a lot of loot. Yarr.

Razer goodies galore! (got myself a WCG vest yo. Initially got S but changed it for L. good enough. Razer shirt tak dapat diselamatkan. M will do just fine but not for me).

Went back home and had dinner alone…

…which is a plate of Mi Goreng with telur goreng.

Sigh. Bachelor life in KL without transportation is hard indeed.

On to Day 2!

The Guitar Hero 5 Finals! (wah so fast?!)

But before that, there were cosplayers going on stage doing god knows what.

Here we can see Jin Kazama trying to take over the Zaibatsu Corporation. But unknown to him, some apek tries to fight him.

What is this I don’t even.

Hilarious but ridiculous lol. There were other cool ones too but I don’t know why I didn’t take pictures of it. Hmm.

Just like the Guitar Hero 5 contestants will play as well.

We played the finals on stage later that evening.

Just a little note. The game was immensely lagging. We tried to calibrate the lag ourselves, but we (me and slayzaerath) didn’t know what the ideal ms was. So we just went ahead and play lol. The same applies to Day 1.

And also, If you see in the video, both of us made a mistake of not selecting hyperspeed. Wanted to tell him, “Eh lupa nak on la”, but he was so focused lol so malas nak kacau.

Went back home with awsmface and enjoyed an egg sandwich. (sigh telur lagi)

DAY 3, FINALE!

The final prize giving presentation was to be at 6pm. Suddenly I found out it was at 8pm. WAH RAGE. They said due to technically difficulties during the finals of the online games. One of them is Sudden Death.

And another one is SDO (Super Dancer Online me thinks). SDO really interests me, the 6 players playing SDO had amazingly fast hand response. WOAH. You just had to be there to see it.

Anyway. Everyone was tired.

Omg I has an excited liao.

First time entering WCG, and I managed to win. I’m happy of course, but this win was not that meaningful due to the fact that only 4 people participated. Next year, I’m hoping moar people can join WCG 2011 and give the Malaysian Guitar Hero community a huge boost in registration numbers! C’MON GUYS!

Thanks guys for your support. But I found out that us console gamers are not going to represent Malaysia for the World Cyber Games final at Los Angeles, USA.

I would really like to go though. I’m hoping that PIKOM manages to sponsor the console gamers to LA. To represent Malaysia would really be an honor. I’m gonna try my best to play the songs in the WCG list. :D

Everyone is happy that the semester finally ended. But not for me. I practically have no plans, and nothing to do during the holidays.

Wanted to get a work, but in July, i’ll be off to KL two times.

July 15 -19 and (most probably) July 24 – 27.

And so, what I’ll do during this semester break is

a) nothing
b) nothing
c) nothing
d) all of the above
e) exercise

The answer is d) All of the above! (nothing from below).

But all I can do right now is just collect some money hoping that I have enough to get one more lens for Little Miss Alpha (wow it’s been a while since I’ve called her that).

Oh just recently (yesterday that is) had a little reunion with old friends at Esplanade and this comes to show that.

Last minute plan always works (for me that is).
