Birthday celebration.

April 13 was my birthday, and I celebrated it last two days ago.

Well, I don’t usually celebrate my birthday at all. Just a little family time at home, cut a cake and eat. Repeat, rinse, dry for the past years. (with exception of the year 1999 I think, I had a birthday party, but that was when I was young).

So, at 12:00am, people started to wish me happy birthday, there’s even someone who would wait until 12:00am just to wish me happy birthday, and also a few wall posts on Facebook.

Yeah, that’s how I expected my birthday to start, and my birthday to end. Just wishes of happy birthday by people at campus is enough for me.

 

But not today, because today, was the one and only birthday I would never ever forget, because..

I was surprised by my campus mates. At campus, I was sitting alone next to the lake, and I actually snoozed off a bit, because the wind there was extraordinarily awesome. The breeze that flows through your hair..

Oh wait, I have no hair (well, extremely short hair lah).

 

So, Ina texted me, and she said to wait for her there. Well, I had nothing better to do, I carpooled with her on that day, and so I was stuck.

Waited from 3:00pm, sat there, called a friend of mine, then walked to the cafe, ordered Teh O’ Peng, one go, and then I went to ICT Lab 1, checked Moodle, and finished (i think) my C++….

 

Oh god, this could go on.

 

Let me get straight to the point.

 

It was 4:30pm (when engineering students finish their Chemistry Lecture), I heard Najwa and Deklin’s voices coming from behind, from the direction of LTBS. Najwa sat in front of me, talked a bit with her, then suddenly,

Zaty, Adam and Nazri came along, barefooted for no reason. So said hi to them and asked them, “What are you guys doing here bah?”. **

“Oh nothing, just enjoying the lake view.”

Eh?

Okay..

Then, Ina came along. Sat down, and talked and talked for a bit.

When all of a sudden.

*WHOOP*

Jim put a box in front of me. (truth be told, I was absolutely blurred on why was there a box in front of me)

A box? What box? I never received a blank white box before.

Then they started to open the box, and…

SONOFAGUN.

They… they… *sob*

They bought me a cake.

 

Since this is a surprise, I did not bring my Little Miss Alpha (FYI, it’s the camera) along with me, so only Ina and Zaty took pics of my flabbergasted face.

Well, not THAT flabbergasted I guess.

FYI. The cake, according to Ina, was a sponge cake, with extremely full of cream in order to make the sheep look like a sheep.

The cake IS nice… but… the cream…

Anyway,

Time to sembelih the sheep!

And time to feed the birthday boy. Meh.

And then, Nazri demonstrates an amazing trick.

Anyway, while eating the cake, we all (but it was Zaty’s idea!) to start jumping and taking photos, ala ala smashp0p style.

Alas, we failed.

After eating the body of the sheep, there was only the head left, and so I was forced (peer pressure lah) to bring back the head of the sheep.

 

 

Thanks to everyone who is involved! Ina, Zaty, Charlene, Adam, Nazri, Najwa, Deklin, Zarith, Awesome Jim, and even Aaron who made a late cameo in the evening.
