Softball and the Miri Food Fair 2009

I didn’t know that softball would be fun.

And at the same time, I didn’t know my dad and my mom was active in softball back in the days.

And at the same time, I didn’t know my dad knew Adam’s dad, who is a softball player too.

And at the same time, I didn’t know my dad actually was going to coach SMK Teknik Softball Team (if I’m not mistaken)

And at the same time, I didn’t know that Adam plays softball.

And at th-

 

Oh ffs. Ignorance is bliss.

Anyway. Last Sunday and today, Zaty and I went to SM Teknik to watch Adam play softball in his team, the Tsunami, coached by his dad.

Last Sunday, we went to watch him in the morning, but didn’t watch then play in the evening, malas lol.

Let’s focus on today, shall we?

The match that I saw was Tsunami vs Critters, which they lost 14-4, which is considered okay, considering the last time I saw them play, they lost 14-1 (or was it 0).

The photos are all from today’s game against Critters. I have last Sunday’s pictures though, but nah, I’d rather update on today’s instead.

Anyway right after the match, we brought Adam back to his house so he could clean up, and meanwhile, Zaty and I grabbed softball gloves and start throwing the ball to each other, and that moment, we realized how awesome softball really is. Zaty wanted to be batter, but the house area was too small, a slight swing and the ball could reach 2 blocks away lol.

So a few minutes later, off to Desserts we go, eat ice-cream woo.

In the car, we had a little debate on which branch should we head to, either eat in Imperial Mall, or it’s own outlet somewhere near Pelita. So Zaty had an idea, and she asks me to guess a number between 1 – 10, should I get it wrong, we’ll head at Pelita, and if I get it right, we’ll head to Imperial. (or was it the other way round)

Random guess – 7.

And unexpectedly I got it right.

WUT!

2nd guess, and this time Adam was involved too. Guess a number between 11 – 20.

Random guess – 13.

And unexpectedly, yet again, I got it right.

WUT!

(and so did Adam)

So Adam made a conclusion. (or was it Zaty)

“Our minds are connected via BlueTooth.”

WUT!

Okay, now back to the story.

On that weekend also, there was a Food Festival going on at the Boulevard parking area, and a relative of mine was selling some delicious kebabs (for a limited time only. last time I ate them was last year during Ramadhan). Decided to head there and get a few of them, BECAUSE I MISS THE KEBAB SO MUCH ;_;, and at the same time, went snapping photos around the area. If I’m not mistaken, M Daud Kilau was performing last night, AND I MISSED IT, ALAAAA. Er. Ahem.

Anyway.

OTAK OTAK JB! YUM MY FAVOURITE (but slightly overpriced :| ), oh well. Every time my family heads to Johor, we must always head to Singgah Selalu. Damn delicious. I miss that place already :(

Next weekend, it’s the Curtin Open Day, and Adam’s big game against both his mother and father in softball. WOO! What a weekend to look forward to.
