Well, as Sarawakians, we all know that last week was the most disastrous week to go out golfing, fishing, or even washing your car (which I keep on delaying by giving the reason, hujan, and it was accepted by my dad. YES PROCRASTINATION! But he was angry at me for not vacuuming the car :/ ).
So, last week, right after I picked my sister up from the airport after her trip to Pangkor Island, my dad called me and said, “Mal….where…..you….back…”
I kept shouting WHUT!?
Once I arrived home, my mom was back from work, EARLY, and my dad was there too, and he said that,
“Kampung banjir.”
And all I can think was, oh snap.
Packed some stuffs, brought some tools, even a drill (for what I still have no idea up to this day) and off to kampung we go!
And so ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the back of my kampung!
Where it looks unbelievably messed up and flooded.
Oh, my sister didn’t followed us balik kampung. (harumph!)
So the remaining family members had to do some work back at kampung, carry this and that, and take out the water pump. And that’s about it. Right after that I slacked off and watched tv. Slacking for the win dammit.
Right after that, my uncle came, and he decided to drag out a boat from the river, with my dad using a car.
This boat!
This old, retro, funky, (well, not funky) messed up boat.
We let the boat do it’s thing for a while. Emptying it’s bowels.
The river was flooded too (well duh). It was about to overflow to the streets, but thank goodness it didn’t.
So after the boat’s finished doing it’s business, there was something waiting in the boat. But it was so dark, couldn’t really see it.
See that blue thing? *dunt dunt dunt*

“Zomg what’s that! Eeeeee! *high tone shriek*”
We manage to transfer it to a pail. A pail. A PAIL. That blue thing, into a pail.
By now you should have guessed what that is right?
Y HALO THAR!
It’s a huge stack of porn prawn!
A huge one too. There were lots of porn prawns in the boat. Jumping around and jumping around. Managed to catch ‘em all™.
So yeah, after helping my grandmother out with the house, ate dinner and went back around 5pm I think.
I had to stay awake in the car, my parents decided to bring back this pail full of porn prawns back home and put it with the other fishes. Once the car bumps, FLYING PORN PRAWN!
The flood was that bad, this picture got blurry :/
