I just came back from a gaming competition in Curtin.
To be precise, Winning Eleven 2007 competition on the PC.
God damn it was tiring and itchy. Mosquitos doing zerg rushes. Isk isk.
Well, I’m happy though that I managed to participate. It was fun. I didn’t expect to reach the semi-finals.
I had to lose at the semis because my body was extremely itchy and I couldn’t concentrate (alasan lul)
I went home as a happy man, winning didn’t matter, what matters is I made friends there. Yay!
For full story, read on.
The competition started at 7pm-ish. There were few delays because one of the PC didn’t work.
And soon it started. I was still thinking what team should I pick. Barca? Chelsea? Arsenal? Man Utd? Inter? Real Madrid? Lyon? Ended up picking Barcelona. (while wearing a Brazil jersey. very odd indeed)
There were 32 people participating, and so it was divided into 4 groups, which are Ay, Bee, See, and Dee (ABC&D)

So I was in Group D, and I was up against Mohd. Hafiz. To play the game, was hell I tell you. Sitting directly under the air conditioner, blasting at full speed. DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF MAN! Shivering my butt off while playing. But ended up winning in coldness by a 1 goal margin. 2-1 was the final score.
Next up, was Riaz, my sister’s friend.

It felt kinda weird you know, nobody is rooting for you, but the opposition gets supported by his friends. ;_;
Kesian me. Isk isk. Well, that’s 1st Sem Foundation for you.
Eheh. I won 4-1 (or was it 4-2? I don’t remember)
And next up, I was against Faheem.
He was using Arsenal, and good god, he was awesome. I only managed to scrape up a 3-2 win, thanks to a splendid (and lucky) equalizer that hit Eboue (or was it Toure) on the way in. I seriously was damn lucky that it went in.
Salute to you, Faheem!
Semi Finals and Finals time!
But before that, a little warm-up.
Now we move on to the lecture theatre, where it was dark.

This was another match going on, and the guy using Chelsea lost 3-0 to Inter.
I, on the other hand, lost 3-1. :(
Oh well, try again next time.
All in all, a good tournament though. Only one major, and a very serious problem.
Mosquitos.
