Grand Theft Auto 4, the latest craze in everyone’s pants. The PS3 and Xbox360 version has been released on 29th April, and only available at Malaysia on 30th April. I ordered mine from Bernard. Region 2, priced at RM195.

If you’re a gamer, and you’re asking me what Grand Theft Auto 4 is, please run up to the highest building you have in your area and jump down.

But if you’re not a gamer, and you have no clue whatsoever what it is, let me enlighten you in 2 ways, one long version, one short. I’ll start off with the long one.

Long

Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game, only made for PS3 and Xbox360 at the moment (no news on PC yet) that has made everyone go gaa-gaa about. It’s basically a must-have game for everyone that owns this console. Why? Because this game is open, free mode, but with missions to do.

Main character you’re going to use is Niko, a guy that starts life in Liberty City.

It’s not only single player, but it has multiplayer along with it. This is the component that drove everyone to insanity, the multiplayer mode. What it offers is not your average kill-kill-die-die game, but it comes with modes, among them are Cops and Crooks, GTA Race, and more, I just can’t remember. It’s just too awesome for my brain to handle.

It’s fun when you get a group and play GTA4 online. It’s wild, wacky, and hilarious.

Just for history’s sake, before GTA4, there was Grand Theft Auto London, Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto III, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and GTA: Vice City Stories. All games were available on the PC except for the last 2 games mentioned.

Now, checking on the recent reviews, this game has managed to bring most gaming reviewers to their knees, giving this game a remarkable 10 out of a solid 10. (or some 9.8, but hey, it’s close to 10, isn’t it?). Now, it’s rare for a game to score a perfect 10, but for a game like this, well deserved.

Aside from the positivity, there’s also a few negative influences of the game. For instance, it has violence written all over it, ever since the first game until now. This game never escapes controversy when it comes to violence. Heck, you can see in the news (not Malaysian news, heh. well, not that I have ever noticed) there’s a lot of killings and most of them, somehow, are related to GTA. But I don’t know how, can’t blame the games, blame the person.

Not only violence though, quite a lot of sex and partial nudity will be shown in the game itself. So make sure to lock your door or play when nobody is at home.

Well, enough about the controversies and such, this game was made to be enjoyed. Thank god I’m 18 (oh hell’s yeah) and legal enough to get the game.

Note however, this is just from my personal point of view, it’s not even meant to be a review.

Now for the short version.

EXTREMELY AWESOME AND MUST-GET GAME.

And so there you have it, what GTA4 is all about. I might miss on some points, but who cares, go get a PS3/Xbox360 and get the game and try it out for yourself (or just pray and hope that there will be a PC version).

Now, I just ordered it today, banked in today, but I’m going to receive it on Monday. Kecilakaan. Why, you ask?

Sunday = Nothing to do
Monday = 5 days later = Game hopefully arrives *touchwood*
