That 10-day trip. Part 1
It’s been what, 13 days? (not actual length of day because I’ve been delaying this post. Heh) since I’ve blogged (well, almost all the time, I’ve not been blogging, heh). And now, I’ve recently just came back from a 10-day trip to Bali, which was from 8th December to 17th of December. (I think I’m missing a day, but I’ll name it "That 10-day trip").
Before I start, let me give you where I was during the trip.
Miri -> KL -> Bali -> KL -> Johor -> Miri.
I’ve had it with airplanes, blergh. I wonder how does my dad actually tahan going through all the flights to the US or Dubai. Cheeeeee!
Day 1
Left to KL at I forgot what time, but what matters is I went to KL! Gah! We were staying at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, nice place.
Once I arrived there, I received surprising news from brader Steno. He said that there will be a small clan r0r1 gathering, and he forced me to come ;_;. Nak taknak, I’ve been forced. Meet up and makan-makan.
Discussion of leaders, takutnye aku.
Look at how serious they are discussing anime. I only sat there and listened, trying to understand what the hell they were talking about lol. They laugh, I pun laugh. Jangan marah eh, Steno and gang, lol. Thanks for the pizza, Steno!
After makan-makan, dad phoned and off to PCFair we go! (seriously tak sangka that the day we come was PCFair day. As if this trip was planned for me. *shining lights*)
We went to PCFair to get an external HDD for my aunt who wants to store an amazingly huge amount of pictures and videos. So we bought her 160GeeBee, and during that trip juga, I unexpectedly bought,
1. 1GB Kingston SD Card (for my camera)
2. 1GB Kingston RAM x 2
But the most unexpected item that I bought was…

3. nVidia GeForce 8600gt.
I honestly don’t know how that ended up in my plastic bag. (tak curi eh, I bought it). It was priced at RM350, and it’s a DirectX10 card. It’s cheap, and it’s good. Nyehehehe.
Came back from the PCFair a very very happy boy. Yay!!1!
Day 2
My aunt asked my dad to search for T-shirts that has anything related to Malaysia. We had to walk (almost) around KL just to find for 2 T-shirts and oh MAN that was tiring. Go here, go there, and yet still unable to find even a single (cheap) T-Shirt. We eventually bought the T-shirt at Pasar Seni, so many of them, about 4, I think.
In between the adventure to find T-shirts, we were at Jalan Masjid India. While walking, we accidently met with my dad’s cousin (so he says). They were all shouting, "EH LAMA TAK JUMPA LAH!" and "HOW ARE YOU! ALAMAK ANAK YOU LOOK SO TALL!", "DULU DIA NI KECIK EH! APA KABAR!?", and stuffs.
So right out of the blue, one of them points at me and asks,
"Ni bakal menantu eh?"
….. wtf
Dah I malas to explain this part, you can just think about it and laugh the living crap out of yourselves.
Anyhoo,
For the first time I get to experience the IMAX 3D cinema. Tengok fishies swimming around. Nice experience I have to say.
Oh! Also, I got to see (from far la) the My Chemical Romance concert. (well, VERY VERY FAR).
Nothing much to be proud of. It’s just looking at the stadium where they performed.
Day 3
Ah, day 3. Preparing to depart to Bali! First time going to Bali. Eeeeee. Packing and packing, and off to LCCT we go! (AirAsia, not MAS).
Zoooooooooooom to Bali, and we arrived at night. Sitting in the plane for 4 hours, what a pain. Thank god for Phoenix Wright and Nintendo DS, I was up and entertained throughout the whole flight, YES! THANK YOU NINTENDO DS!
BALI! Hoorah!
We were greeted by a man named Pak Jon. He’s our tour guide throughout Bali, and I have to say, he’s a very funny and kind man. The driver’s name is Ketut. Well, Ketut is a nickname actually, I don’t know his real name because I wasn’t listening to my dad’s conversation in the van. At first I tried to not laugh because, ahh you should know why.
Anyway they brought us to a nice hotel called Gazebo Hotel. It’s not a hotel actually. I’m not sure what you call it, but we were given a key to a little house that has a bed in it.
Very very nice atmosphere. The reception lady was very nice to us. When we first arrived there, they gave us this!
Flowers! Oh mein gott, that’s so nice.

Alright so I’m not a certified camwhore. Boo hoo.
After putting our luggage in our room, Pak Jon brought us out to eat.
We were served with chicken and sambal. This is the very first time, I actually saw an ayam goreng…
WITH ITS HEAD STILL IN PLACE. GAH! My sister freaked out and my mom laughed like mad because she saw my sister freaked out.
I have a picture, but it’s quite blurry. Ngee. I don’t want to remember it. FREE-KEEE!
hurr.. *twitch*
Day 4
A new day in Bali, and we had breakfast. Now that it’s bright, I finally can see how beautiful Bali really is. (and the hotel too).
Everything looks unbelievably beautiful.

The hotel looks beautiful.

The buildings looks beautiful.

The beach looks beautiful.

The scenery looks beautiful (even with this thingamajig. Sorry to anyone I’ve insulted regarding this)
I didn’t get to see beautiful girls though :(. Only Mat Sallehs. Dang. THE BEAUTIFUL LOCALS ARE ONLY ON TV!1! ;_;
Breakfast was delicious.
I had smoked beef, boiled egg, and bread. (and to tell you the truth, this is the first time I’m eating boiled egg for breakfast. Sedap siot.)
After breakfast, went out to meet Pak Jon.
Ello Pak Jon!
At first I had no idea where he was about to bring us, but then my aunt gave me the schedule for the trip. First stop! Ubud! But according to the schedule, it’s called the Kintamani Volcano Tour. Sounds nice.
Before going to the volcano, Pak Jon brought us to watch the Barong Dance (which, honestly, I have no idea what it is about because it is all spoken in their native language).
When they laugh, I laugh. Just go with the flow, yo. Go with the flow.
Ah, finally finished.
Once finished, we managed to take a photo with Barong.
At this point, I felt a wee bit guilty, because the dude in the Barong suit (yes, there was a person in the Barong suit) asked for 5,000 rupiah and we end up running away from him not giving him anything. :(
Poor guy.
Anyhoo, after that, we head off to a jewelry store. I wasn’t particularly interested in the jewelry and the bling blings, but instead I was more interested in this little sculpture outside of the store.
and this
Ngau.
Alrighto! After done shopping (which I didn’t) off to the volcano we go! High up, way way up. I slept throughout the journey. It was cold up there. Once we were there, we were greeted.. no, more like.. mobbed by fans people wanting us to buy their stuffs. I tell you, THERE WERE SHIATLOADS OF PEOPLE MOBBING US. I feel famous for once. But sadly, they were not asking for signatures *sob*. Oh well.
I only managed to snap a few pics of the volcano though. I was trying to snap more but people keep on blocking my view, shouting, "PAK 10,000 RUPIAH FOR THIS. 10,000 RUPIAH FOR THIS." and also "CHEAP. CHEAP. 50,000 RUPIAH FOR 6. CHEAP, CHEAP".
Tweet tweet.
One of them offered me bangles. I replied, "Nggak , saya tak pakai benda itu. (no, I don’t wear that kind of foshizzle. Ya dig?)." She kept quiet and left me alone.
Malik 1 - 0 Lady
If you’re curious to know how the mob looks like, here it is.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Padan muka. (but we also kena, heh)
Alright, anyhoo. Next, we were off to a temple. I don’t know what temple. I wasn’t listening to Pak Jon when he was explaining. Sorry! Too sleepy :/.
The amazing thing about this temple is that it has this.
A black-liquid-shooting-out-of-a-little-hole lake!
From a different angle.
You know, every thing about Bali is nice. You randomly snap a photo of the scenery, it will come out looking nice.
Like this photo for instance.
Doesn’t it look nice? (without looking at a professional’s point of view. I’m a noobie, dammit!).
After enjoying the scenery of the temple, we’re going down to Ubud and look at magnificent rice terraces. Such as this one,

So then it was night time. And night time, is always dinner time for me. (basically, all time is eating time for me, yay).
We went to Han Solo’s brother’s/cousin’s shop. I’m surprised he has a brother. It’s called..
WONG SOLO! He has Chinese blood running in him.
Makan rice, chicken, belacan, etc. etc. Nice food. The tea was delish.
While drinks was being served, I noticed that I was given this.
TehBotol? Apa benda tu.
Well it’s tea…. in a bottle! (DUH) And it tastes bitter, because it’s cold, or in Indonesia, it’s dingin. Eck.
Oh well, thank god for Teh Hangat, or in Malaysia, Teh O’ Panas. Extremely tons of sugar whopped into the glass, you can see at the base of the glass, there’s so much sugar left in it. Stirring it won’t make it dissolve into the tea. Sweet mother of sweet!
So went back to Gazebo Hotel and slept.
Zee zee zee.
PART 1 FINISHED. (eh this whole thing is damn long la. I don’t want to jam one whole post just talking about Bali! Part 2 coming up soon.)

ketut=shorty :p
