Guitar Hero III
It sounds exciting, Guitar Hero III is coming for the Wii! Yay.
A little snip from ign.com
When Guitar Hero II made it to the Xbox 360 just a few months back, it proved itself to be one of the best music/rhythm games available. Despite its success, it did suffer from a few missteps which prevented it from successfully transitioning to the current generation of gaming consoles. The guitar controller that it shipped with wasn’t wireless and suffered from an unresponsive whammy bar, the downloadable content was met with a lukewarm reception, it was only available for the PS2 and Xbox 360, and the music selection was missing some iconic tracks that would have really helped with the games appeal. With this week’s announcement of Guitar Hero III, it’s looking like many of the quarrels some had with the second title in the series will be taken care of. The game is set to be available for the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2 and will feature wireless support for the new guitar controllers as well as a slew of great guitar-laden tracks, both old and new, including the likes of “Sabotage” from the Beastie Boys, “Paint it Black” by the Rolling Stones, “Rock and Roll All Nite” by Kiss, and even “The Metal” from Tenacious D. No word has been given regarding downloadable content, but the impressive track list and guitar upgrades that have been mentioned is certainly something to get excited about, even for the most cynical gamer.
Note the 2 bolded parts.
1. It’s for the Wii and it has a wireless guitar that’s packaged with it! Woo!
2. Oh no frickin’ way! Tenacious D is also in the game? Tenenennenene! The metal will live on!
Looks like more games to look forward for the Wii in the future! Mario Party 8 is coming out next week according to beat_boyz6..
